The Snail & the whale by Julia Donaldson was one of my favourite bedtime tales to read to each of my 3 bears.
I always try to give little actions or animate tales especially for the toddler age group... using teddies to illustrate or puppets and funny voices to hold their attention.
I was inspired to make the snail and the whale when my now 7yr old showed me that she can read it herself now!
100% wet felted merino wool and stuffed with recycled child safe polyester- made from recycled plastic bottles! ( my own tribute to "save our seas")
The whale has a simple shape but is nice and sturdy... with no small parts- embroidery eyes make this safe as a cuddle toy cushion for any age group. It is approx 35cm long.
The snail with the itchy tale is his merry mate- this has hand embroidery, I have made three and all are different, your snail will be a random selection unless you DM me with a preference. It is 12cm long. 
This would make lovely bedroom decor, the whale is robust enough to be used to illustrate the book  and to be played with... the snail is also robust, but you can decide does he need to sit on a shelf.
The Book is included- this is a hardback version of the book, with nice sturdy hard pages- retailing at €9.80 from Easons in Ireland.
