Will Spring ever Spring?!

Will Spring ever Spring?!

Will Spring Ever Spring?- pigs might fly!

Other than textiles, my great love is gardening… but right now my “lawn” is a fully committed pond. Crossing to the outside studio requires wellies, bravery, and possibly a life jacket. If this weather keeps up, I’m genuinely concerned about developing foot rot. Glamorous? Always.

But here’s the thing about grey days — they make the colour shine brighter.

When the skies refuse to cooperate, I surround myself with joy. Bright fabrics. Cheerful stitches. Tiny reminders that Spring is out there somewhere, probably just running fashionably late.

And speaking of little bursts of happiness…

Spring Birds have fluttered into the shop — small, joyful messengers of better days ahead.

Boxes of Cluckin’ Chicks are here too — because honestly, who couldn’t use a handful of cheerful chicks right now?

And if you have a far-away friend (or you are the far-away friend), why not send them Peas in a Pod? A sweet little reminder that we’re never really alone — even if our gardens resemble wetlands.

Sometimes it’s the tiniest acts — a small gift, a pop of colour, a surprise in the post — that lift the spirits. These little moments are the stitches that hold the bigger story together.

So until Spring remembers it has somewhere to be…
I’ll be in my wellies, making sunshine in fabric form.

Come and find a little piece of joy for yourself (or someone you love).
