"Blue birds on a wire" – Original Textile Art by Tamzen Lundy Designs

Hand made woollen wet felt textile art. I use silks and tweeds to collage the whimsical imagery, here two blue birds, Peter and Paul stand on a wire.

Each piece is handmade by me from start to finish. I create the base using 100% wool through wet felting, then “sketch” the robin using free motion embroidery with my sewing machine. I collage textures and colour using cottons, wool tweeds, and silks, building each piece layer by layer. No two are the same as I free-motion draw with the needle and use various "waste" fabrics. The images here are a representation of that which you will receive.
